About farm fencing

Why homeowners choose farm fencing

Farm fence has a different job to a back-yard fence. It has to hold animals safely, cover long distances economically, and survive being leaned on, so the important decisions are about post depth, rail strength, and spacing rather than looks.

We install two-, three-, and four-rail post and rail, split rail, and paddock fencing, with optional welded-wire or mesh backing where you need to keep smaller animals in or predators out.

  • Two, three, and four-rail post and rail
  • Split rail for boundaries and driveways
  • Horse-safe paddock configurations
  • Optional welded-wire or mesh backing
  • Long runs priced economically per foot

Questions

Farm Fencing questions

What fence is safest for horses?

Smooth post and rail with no sharp protrusions, at a height the animal will not lean over. We often add mesh backing on the inside face so hooves cannot go through the rails.

How much does farm fencing cost per foot?

It depends on rail count, post spacing, and terrain. Long open runs are far cheaper per foot than short broken ones, and we price by the actual layout after walking the property.

Can you fence a large acreage property?

Yes. We regularly handle long boundary runs and will plan gate placement around how you actually move equipment and animals through the land.
